Shepperd fonds. - 1836-1939.

Biographical sketch :
Mr. Shepperd worked for the Tree Line Navigation Company.

Custodial history :
Fonds transferred to the Association archives by Mr. Shepperd in 1938-1939, and by his wife in 1984.

Scope and content :
The Shepperd fonds deals with steamboats in the 1890's, as well as a trip taken by a group called "Gilchristiana" in 1836, which took the Champlain & St. Lawrence Railway train.
The fonds consists of photographs, a personal journal and a prospectus concerning boat service on the Ottawa River.

Physical description : 57 photographs. - 2 textual documents.

General note : Title based on the name of the donor. The cover of the journal is fragile. The documents in the fonds are in English. There are index cards for the photographs. The pages of the journal about the railway have been photocopied to facilitate consultation.
