Biographical sketch :
Mr. Nye was a railway fan. He died in 1978?.
Custodial history :
The fonds was purchased, then transferred to the Association archives in December 1979.
Scope and content :
The Nye fonds illustrates the history of railways
in England, the United States and Canada, by means
of scale models and miniature trains. The majority
of trains are in museums and amusement parks. The
fonds also illustrates different types of
locomotives around the world, especially steam
locomotives. The fonds consists of postcards,
photographs and locomotive manuals and components.
