Paige fonds. - 1894-1912.
Biographical sketch :
Mr. H.W. Paige was a locomotive engineer for the Orford Mountain Railway and he also worked on construction of the Canadian Pacific Railway between 1894 and 1912.
Custodial history :
Fonds received by Mr. Walbridge from S. McKenzie Paige, son of H.W. Paige, then transferred to the Association archives in 1982.
Scope and content :
The Paige fonds shows construction and rolling
stock of the Orford Mountain Railway, a division
of the Canadian Pacific Railway, between 1894 and
1912. The fonds also shows some views along the
line of the Orford Mountain Railway and
Mansonville station.
The fonds consists of
black and white photos, with captions accompanying
each of the photographs.

38 photographs.
General note :
Title based on the contents of the fonds. The
documents in the fonds are in English. See the
Richmond County Historical Society archives. The
fonds also contains a photocopy of a letter
addressed to his father in 1902. There are two
books Railway of Southern Quebec, vol I and II by
J. Derek Booth which deal with the Orford Mountain
Railway and contain other Paige documents.
