Biographical sketch :
Mrs. Mable Elizabeth Bevington was one of the founding members of the Canadian Railway Historical Association in 1932 and signed the association's charter. She was archivist and librarian for the Canadian Pacific Railway. She left the association after fifteen years.

Custodial history :
Fonds transferred to the archives of the Association by the creator, between 1932 and 1945.

Scope and content :
The Mable Elizabeth Bevington Fonds illustrates various types of steam locomotives in Canada and the United States at the end of the 19th century. The fonds also relates to public activities of Edward Beatty, President of the Canadian Pacific Railway.
The fonds consists of photographs, brochures and speeches.
