Reliving Canada's Railway Adventure

Grand gallery of the Angus pavilion

All year long!

Railway fever hit Canada as early as the 1830s. Less than a century later, railways crossed the country from the Atlantic to Pacific. It all began with a short 22.5-kilometre trip between La Prairie and Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu Quebec, at a speed of 25 kph. We have come a long way since then!

The moment you enter the main gallery, you will feel like you are in a train station, in front of a replica of the steam locomotive Dorchester . Then your adventure begins. Walk along themes platforms, enter some of the historic vehicles and relive the emotions of famous travellers and common folk alike as they rode Canada's trains. Take in this one-of-a-kind railway universe.
